Surfactants
Raw materials and additives of polyurethane systems
The properties of polyurethane foams heavily depend on the size and type of cell structure. Silicone surfactants improve the compatibility of formulation components with each other and reduce the overall surface tension of the system. In fact, silicone surfactants assist in nucleation and cell growth during foam production. Finally, the desired cell structure can be achieved by selecting the appropriate surfactant, and it can be confidently stated that these materials enhance foam stability.
