Memory Foam (Viscoelastic foam)
Flexible foam
Memory foams, or viscoelastic foams, are known for their slow return to initial shape after being compressed. When a weighted object is placed on viscoelastic foam, the foam gradually conforms to the shape of the object and slowly returns to its original form after the weight is removed. Due to this property, viscoelastic materials are used in medical applications for making mattresses, pillows, and even shoe insoles. Additionally, this foam is used in furniture and some parts of car seats, providing uniform pressure distribution and reducing muscle fatigue.
